Excel to Tally templates - Modifications
Applicable to : udi-Magic v8.0 Release 2.4

The following new features have been added in the Master-StockItemMaster.xls template.

1. Provision to hide or show columns
You can now hide or show columns using the sheet "EnableDisableFeatures" from within the template itself.

2. Default Accounting Allocations
Separate columns for "Default Accounting Allocation for Sales" and "Default Accounting Allocation for Purchase" have now been kept.

3. New column for MRP Effective date
You can now specify the MRP Rate and the effective date. Please read the remarks in the template regarding MRP.

PS:
The data starts from Row No 3 (instead of Row no 2) in this template.

Tax Analysis not printed in Tally Invoice

Query
I have imported the StockItems using the Master-StockItemMaster.xls template; but while printing the Invoice, the Tax Computation (at the bottom) is NOT displayed / printed.

Solution
In the Master-StockItemMaster.xls file, put 0 (zero) in the Column CESS-RATE (Column AV) and then re-import the data from Master-StockItemMaster.xls.

Next, re-print the Invoice.

The following new features have been added in the Vouchers-V8-Sales-Purchase-Basic.xls template.

Auto Rounding-Off
This feature allows automatic "Rounding off" to the nearest rupee. The default value is Yes.

Common Ledgers for IGST; CGST; SGST
The GST tax ledgers are now created without the tax-rates in Ledger Master. This allows you to have one common GST Tax ledger instead of multiple GST Tax ledgers in Invoice.

The following new fields have been added in the Master-StockItemMaster.xls template.

Field : Old Name
Description : Specify the StockItem Name or Part Number for which you want to update / set GST Taxes and other values.
Remarks:
1. If you already have StockItems in Tally and want to set / update the GST details or other fields, you can specify the Part Number or Item Name, and other details as required.
2. Mandatory for modifying StockItem and optional while creating new StockItems.

Field : UT Tax
Description : Specify the UT Tax rate (i.e. union territory tax)
Remarks : As STATE TAX is for States, the UT-TAX is for Union territories.

Issues Fixed : Tax Computation not displayed / printed in Invoice printing
Remarks : The Tax Analysis was not displayed (at the bottom) in the Invoice printing, if CESS-RATE field is kept empty. This issue has been fixed now.

HSN code not printed in Tally Invoice

The aforesaid problem has been resolved by Tally Solutions in Tally ERP 9 Release 6.0.2

Release Notes

The HSN/SAC was not displayed in the printed invoice when it was recorded with:

o     Stock items predefined with HSN/SAC.

o     Sales/purchase ledgers predefined only with tax rate and not the HSN/SAC.

This issue is resolved. Now, if the HSN/SAC is not defined in the sales/purchase ledger, but is available in any of the masters linked to the transaction, the same will be printed in the invoice.
