New Templates (added/removed)

Excel to Tally templates
Applicable to : udi-Magic v8.0 Release 2.6

The following changes have been done in the Standard templates :

NEW TEMPLATEs (Added)
A new template named Vouchers-V8-Sales-Purchase.xls is added having the following features :

1. Provision to hide or show columns
You can now hide or show columns using the sheet "EnableDisableFeatures" from within the template itself.

2. Other Ledgers before GST Taxes
You can now specify Freight, Packing and other ledgers before the GST Taxes so that they are included in computation of GST Taxes. However, this can be done if there is only one StockItem in the Invoice or all StockItems have the same GST rate.

3. Includes

• Godown and Item Batch details; 
• Cost Category and Cost Centre; 
• Order and Tracking details;
• Actual and Billed Qty;
• Buyer and Consignee details;
• GST Taxes including UT Tax and Cess;
• Auto-Round off.

4. Supports the following Voucher types :

• Sales Order, Delivery note, Sales, Credit Note;
• Purchase Order, Receipt Note, Purchase, Debit Note

5. Replaces
This templates substitutes the template "Vouchers-V8-Sales-Purchase-Advanced.xls" which is now discontintued. However, the Vouchers-V8-Sales-Purchase-Advanced.xls template is still available in the  folder "c:\udi-Magic\templates-discontinued"

PS:
The template Vouchers-V8-Sales-Purchase.xls will ONLY work with udi-Magic v8.0 Release 2.6 or higher.

The template Vouchers-V8-Sales-Purchase-Advanced.xls has been removed.

INTRODUCING UDIMAGIC V8.0

We are pleased to announce the launch of udi-Magic v8.0. The details are as under :-

NEW TEMPLATE(s)
A new template for Flipkart Settlement / Receipts has been included in udi-Magic v8.0 as shown below :

Template Name: Vouchers-Flipkart-Receipts-and-Journal.xls
XML-File Name : Vouchers-Flipkart-Receipts-and-Journal-xml-tags.xml

Steps:
1. Download and install udi-Magic v8.0
2. Copy/paste your Flipkart settlement data into aforesaid template / xls.
3. Start udi-Magic v8.0
4. Go to "Excel to Tally >> Import data into Tally"
5. Select files :
Excel File: Vouchers-Flipkart-Receipts-and-Journal.xls
XML-File : Vouchers-Flipkart-Receipts-and-Journal-xml-tags.xml 

6. Click the Start button to import data into Tally.

Remarks:
For each Settlement Number, two entries are posted in Tally .i.e.one entry for Receipt voucher and another for Journal voucher.

SUPPORT FOR TALLY ERP 9 RELEASE 5.5.8 AND GST
udi-Magic v8.0 works with Tally ERP 9 Release 5.5.8 (latest release at the time of this post).

The GST related updations shall be made available in udi-Magic v8.0 as and when the GST features are made available in the Tally ERP.

SUPPORT FOR EXCEL 2016
udi-Magic v8.0 works with Excel 2016 (32-bit and 64-bit)

1. Customer(s) who have purchased udi-Magic v7.0 on or after 01/01/2017 shall be provided free upgrade to udi-Magic v8.0.
2. Customer(s) who have upgraded to udi-Magic v7.0 on or after 21/02/2017 shall be provided free upgrade to udi-Magic v8.0
